Valve has released a new update for Counter-Strike 2, aimed at improving stability and refining certain gameplay mechanics. The developers have improved performance, optimized audio and animations, and made significant changes to Retake mode.

After installing the patch, characters now react more realistically to collisions, and the aiming sound effect has been adjusted for greater accuracy. Idle animations have also been updated for several weapons, including the CZ75-Auto, SSG 08, AUG, and Galil AR.

Retake mode has also received several tweaks. Now, if the user has both the M4A1-S and M4A4 rifles in their inventory, the system will randomly select one. A bulletproof vest has been added to the starting loadout, and the flashbang grenade for Counter-Terrorists has been replaced with a fragmentation grenade.

The update is now available on all platforms where CS2 is available.
